A case study to be proud of?
Great Hook Barn is situated in the stunning village of Charing, near Ashford. The original barn dates back to 1860, & still retains some of the original beamed features. In 1980 the barn underwent a stunning conversion with an installation of an oil boiler to provide heating and hot water.
Over the years heating bills became increasingly high due to fluctuating oil prices with the owner finding the system unreliable and inefficient.
The Reina Group were invited by the current owner to recommend a new heating solution with the emphasis on a renewable energy system. Due to the high windows, amount of glazing & open plan structure we recommended a Daikin 16kW High Temperature, Air Source Heat Pump which will provide a constant comfortable temperature of heat throughout the building. The pump was fitted to one of the rear walls at the back of the house with the plant room accommodated in the garage, attached to the main house.
The client is very pleased with the new heating system and is excited to see the results during the coming months.
