Heat Pump installations in Kent
We have installed heat pumps in Kent, and the South East for over 20 years. We offer a complete design & installation service and only choose the highest quality and best performing heat pump brands. We understand that choosing to install a heat pump system is a long term commitment, we want to ensure that your system is able to heat your home for years to come.
There are two types of heat pump systems that we install in Kent:
• Air source heat pumps
◦ Air source heat pumps extract heat from the air using technology very similar to a household refrigerator, except in reverse. There are two options with air source heat pumps depending on what function you want your heat pump to perform. Air-to-air heat pumps blow warm air into your home and are suitable for space heating. Many models can also be reversed in summer and used similar to air conditioning units. Air-to-water systems replace your conventional boiler and provide both space heating and hot water. They connect to your wet central heating system to heat either radiators or underfloor heating.
• Ground source heat pumps
◦ Ground source heat pumps extract heat from the ground via pipes that are laid either vertically in boreholes or horizontally in trenches. The latter require a large amount of space and are ideal if you have a large garden or land. Otherwise, these heat pump systems work in a very similarly to air source heat pumps using reverse refrigeration technology and provide space heating and hot water via your existing wet central heating system or newly installed underfloor heating.
Heat pump systems do need electricity to operate, but they generate more heat than they require to run. Heat sourced either from the air or ground is a renewable and natural. These heat pumps have a very low carbon footprint and if you choose to install one, you may be eligible for financial incentives. Heat pumps are relatively new to Kent, but they are tried and tested in Sweden and are capable of heating a home comfortably, even in the depths of their freezing winters.
As mentioned above, we supply and install MCS heat pumps in Kent. MCS stands for Microgeneration Certification Scheme, and it is a mark of quality, compliance to industry standards and consumer protection. We consistently supply and install heat pumps to the highest quality.
