We currently have two available types of MCS heat pumps in Eastbourne: ground source and air source. They both connect to your wet central heating system, heating your radiators and/or underfloor heating system.

Ground source heat pumps work by extracting heat from the ground. This is done via pipes. These pipes are either laid either vertically in boreholes or horizontally in trenches. We also have an ‘open loop’ ground source heat pump available, which extracts water from the ground and passes it through a heat exchanger, before returning the water to the ground.

Air source heat pumps use an air-to-water system. These heat pumps extract heat from the air around your house, providing space heating and hot water.
