Both types of MCS heat pump system work in a similar way using tried and tested technology that is very similar to that which is used in a refrigerator, except in reverse.  Ground source heat pumps take warmth from the ground via coils of tubing that are installed underground.  Air source heat pumps, as the name suggests, takes warmth from the ambient air temperature outside and is installed outside your property.  Both systems can be connected to your wet central heating system to generate hot water and heating for your property.
