Client - Heat Pumps in Sevenoaks – A collection of properties all with Heat Pumps
Heat pump installers in Kent:
A great heat pump installation to a collection of converted barns and cottages in Sevenoaks in Kent. This was a programme of modernising old farm cottages, upgrading the old interior which included a full new heating system. In addition, several new barn conversions were also part of this project with air source heat pumps fitted in all 6 properties.
We approached each property individually as each heat pump design was slightly different. We installed Mitsubishi air source heat pumps into each of the properties although the size of the heat pump differed depending on the output of heat required. Some of the older cottages were originally heated by gas boilers so before work began our engineers removed the old gas heating systems ready to replace them with the heat pump. Some of the old radiators were also replaced in the cottages with new more economical Stelrad radiators.
The barn conversions also had heat pumps fitted with adequately sized water cylinders installed to provide all the hot water. The Mitsubshi heat pumps powered the underfloor heating creating a nice ambient temperature in the timber barn conversions.
The whole project was carried out over several years with each heat pump installation taking approximately 5 days.
The tenants and owners of each property is delighted with their low carbon heat pump and will now benefit from an overall ambient heat throughout the dwellings, with enough hot water for the occupants of each property. The heat pump heating system does not rely on fossil fuels and uses air from outside, therefore homeowners can now look forward to reduced energy bills in the future.
