Residential Heat Pumps at Kingsmead, Canterbury
Property/Location:
Residential heat pumps in Canterbury
Background:

Designed by local Canterbury-based practice Clague architects, this development of 16 houses were designed to a high-standard & are finished with a mixture of yellow stock brick & render with parapet walls & gables. They benefit from carefully reconstituted stones to form the external windowsills & heads, string courses & copings.

Solution/Installation:

Reina engineers installed the mechanical heating & plumbing to the houses which are a mixture of two, three and four bedroms. Five of the properties which are offered as social rented tenure, have been designed with Daikin air source heat pumps, a contribution towards the government’s zero-carbon target. The heat pumps were fitted to the exterior wall, with the Hydro Box situated in a kitchen cupboard. The Reina Group installed radiators as the emitters of heat throughout the houses. The remaining eleven townhouses have Baxi gas boilers installed to provide hot water & heating. On the ground floors, underfloor heating provide the warmth with radiators on the first floors. These stylish properties are available for open market sale.
