Client:
Heat Pump in Uckfield, Strawberry Hall Farm
Property/Location:
Heat pump in Uckfield, Strawberry Hall Farm
Background:

A heat pump in Uckfield, East Sussex, which shows a great example of our work as a heat pump installer in East Sussex. This particular heat pump system was installed into an old property.

The owners, Debbie & Glenn are refurbishing their property which has a main farmhouse and surrounding buildings. Firstly they are changing a building, which was an original Bakehouse, into a living space with 1 bedroom, a bathroom, living area & kitchen.

The emphasis on the refurbishment was to maintain the original aesthetics of the building, in keeping with the grade listing conditions, whilst also creating an eco-friendly, family home, which reaches EPC standards and keeps the property nice and warm. Installing a low carbon heat pump will provide all the hot water and heating for Debbie and Glenn’s home, and reduce their carbon footprint, a perfect renewable heating solution and a great heat pump in Uckfield.

Solution/Installation:

A Heat Pump Installation in Uckfield - We recommended a Mitsubishi Hydro Air Source Heat Pump, a top selling heat pump brand which is on the market. This heat pump installation is a compact unit, which we positioned on an outside wall with the hot water cylinder situated inside the bedroom, hidden behind the wardrobes. This Hydro Heat pump in Uckfield took just 3 days to install, with the minimum of disruption to our clients. As heat pump engineers we are tidy and professional, answering any questions Debbie or Glenn had during the installation.

Results:

Results of a Heat Pump in Uckfield
Debbie & Glenn can now reap the benefits of living in an energy efficient home with heat pump heating and lower utility bills.

The heat pump creates heat for the underfloor heating in the kitchen & living space providing an ambient temperature throughout the property. To install a typical heat pump the cost is approximately £7500 – £10,995, depending on the property size and type of install required. Don’t forget installation costs can be reduced by £5,000 grant, through the Boiler Upgrade scheme. We are happy to say that 98.7% of our Government Grant applications are successful.

Initially Debbie and Glenn were slightly worried about whether the heat pump would maintain enough heat at a nice temperature, but they have already found the results encouraging. “The results are incredible, we are really happy with our heat pump install, we are now enjoying a nice comfortable temperature of 21° throughout the property, instead of no heating at all.” Commented Debbie.
